About

 The Lake Travis wrestling program was created in 2013, making it’s first approved season of competition the 2013-2014 wrestling season. The program was built by well known Austin area coach Kevin Smith. Smith held the Head Coach role for nine years at Lake Travis before retiring after the 2022-2023 season. With Smith’s reputation coaching at both Bowie and Leander since 1998 there was definite opportunity for him to create another powerhouse in the Austin area. As Head Coach, Kevin Smith led Lake Travis to two District Championships and a Regional Championship, as well as over 100 dual meet victories. Over his nine years at Lake Travis, Smith coached 29 District Champions, 12 Region Champions, 39 State Qualifiers, 14 State Placers, with three state finals appearances. The wrestling program here at Lake Travis is continuosly growing and producing some of the top wrestlers in the state of Texas.

Admissions 

When & Where Can I Purchase Tickets?

  • General admission is available for all events.
  • There is no limit to the number of spectators that can be admitted to an event this season.
  • Theres a strict clear bag policy for most events.

Who Can Purchase Tickets?

  • Spectators do NOT have to purchase tickets this season in advance. Most events will be pay upon entry.
  • There will be NO limit to the number of entrees allowed.

Team Equipment

Junior Varsity

• 2 singlets and/or fight shorts
• Sweats (Top and Bottom)
• Performance Top and shorts
• Braces- full mouth piece

Varsity
• Backpack
• 5 singlets
• Sweats (Top and Bottom)
• Performance Top
• Warm ups

The team will loan shoes, headgear and knees pad to individuals wrestlers as needed. These are items that need to be purchased by each individual wrestler.

All wrestlers will have a checkout sheet that lists the items issued to them. Each Wrestler should take a picture of their sheet.
